Romaji to Kana Converter:
Note: this was a quick script I made.
There are still some
flukes.
- If you input kinyoubi (japanese for friday) it will fail to parse correctly. It should break up as ki n yo u bi. However, this script will tokenize it as ki nyo u bi... which will make it fail and show up to where it was able to parse (in this case ki).
- If you have an \n char (by pressing enter) in the input box, the script will halt there. I thought I had it s/\n//g, but i guess not.
- If you double vowels up in hiragana, the script likes to throw the katakana '-' char for the second vowel. I guess thats what you get for an afternoon's work.. So if you are cut-and-pasting, you need to fix that
Use at your own risk, there is a lot of variation in the language I may not account for. If you have solutions to any of the problems, feel free to tell me.
